As people look at purchasing a computer, many want their computer to do specific things well. They might wish to play games, watch films, store images, or just search the Internet. This computer from HP is priced at just $600 but comes with AMDs 2.9GHz Phenom ll 840T quad-core CPU, 6GB of RAM and a 1TB hard drive. Also, it comes with the ATI Radeon HD 4200 integrated graphics, a DVD burner and 802.11n wireless card.
The tower chassis is a timeless black design with glossy front panel. An extra bay is situated under the DVD burner, for expansion when you want to add a Blu-ray player. The width of the computer system is about seven inches with the power button at the top for easy access. Of course, the PC is sold with your regular keyboard and mouse. A lot of newer PCs nowadays come packed with all kinds of extra software, but this HP PC comes with surprisingly little. It is bundled with several try-before-you-buy software and HPs excellent MediaSmart video and music suite.
There are several useful ports found on the front, with a multi-format card reader bay being one of them. You will likewise find two USB 2.0 ports, along with the microphone and headphone jacks. Since this HP computer is a budget PC, and not for multimedia, several things are missing. The back has an ethernet port, four USB 2.0 ports, one DVI-out, one VGA-out, and an S/PDIF-out. Also, 7.1 surround sound support comes with the PC. When it’s about expansion, though, the HP Pavilion p6720f Desktop PC leaves a lot to be desired. Inside the case, the wires are all bundled in the center. There isn’t much that can be done in terms of putting in more parts. However, you can install video card.
The HP Pavilion p6720f, is not the right machine for you if you are interested to play games. The integrated ATI graphics just isn’t adequate for the quality required for your games. These low-end machines was never meant for power gaming. The Micro Express MicroFlex 25B, which will cost you a couple of hundred dollars more, will be a much better alternative for your gaming entertainment. The HP Pavilion p6720f Desktop PC, for the price tag, gives you enough hard drive, and a quad-core processor that will give you a good deal of speed. This computer was perfect for me, because it did everything that I needed it to do. The HP Pavilion p6720f Desktop PC is very easy to use, really fast and it didnt hurt my pocketbook.
